Low-radioactivity fusion reactor based on a spherical tokamak with a strong magnetic field

Spherical tokamak is a promising compact geometry variety of the tokamak. The most important feature of the spherical tokamak is the practical equality of the plasma pressure and magnetic pressure. In classical tokamak plasma pressure is about ten times lower than the pressure of the magnetic field. This feature allows creating nuclear fusion reactor utilizing a mixture of deuterium (D) and light helium (3He). Because of the low neutron radioactivity D–3He reactors are environmentally attractive promising direction for future development of fusion energy. Present work shows the possibility of development of a compact, yet powerful D–3He reactor on the basis of a spherical tokamak.
Generalized search tree application for approximate string search

This work presents generalized search tree application for approximate string search. The task is to find all the strings from data domain which have distance to given string less than given threshold. Levenshtein metric is used in the capacity of string distance measure. Some subclass of regular expressions is used in the capacity of tree keys. The analysis of test results was performed and fields of further research is presented.

The problems of virtualization using are described, prerequisites for server virtualization are shown. The advantages of virtualization, including virtualization of high-performance computing systems are given. The new classification of virtualization technologies is suggested. The types of virtualization are described, a comparison of technologies is advantages and disadvantages of the species of virtualization are given. The necessities of virtualization in today’s computing systems and examples of virtualization of distributed computing systems are described. The performances of real and virtual systems on a different set of test problems and for various configurations of virtual computing environment are compared.

Properly built architecture significantly accelerates the deployment of information access and enables to identify different patterns. Most of the models can be represented as graphs. Arcs define some interaction or communication between nodes. In constructing the database is an important question about the relationship between the tables, then there is a reciprocal link. Two tables can not be linked directly, but to be strongly dependent on each other through intermediate tables. In this case, to accelerate access to information makes sense to add a direct link. For a sufficiently large database, this task is very important, especially if the database was designed initially not entirely, and grow in the process. Consideration of this system leads to the same model, if the vertices of the graph to take a table and set of edges will be determined by constraints. Therefore, the relevance of the article is how to find connections in intractable situations.

This work presents the process control system for the processing of long soft work pieces by means of the device of rotary band grinding.Construction peculiarities of the equipment being taken into account, the given process control system for the processing has the following subsystems- kinematic, dynamic and thermalphysic.Having subsystems of the mechanical processing and their modeling enable to provide rational constructive, geometric and kinematic parameters as well as to choose and justify some rational technological modes of processing by means of the device of rotary band grinding.

The paper presents an analysis of modern conceptions of semi-realistic modeling methods during the designing process, their role and application in systems projecting, especially for laser and optoelectronic systems. This paper discusses a problem of multi-dimensional continuous global constrained optimization and continuous interacting ant colony algorithm to solve this problem. The work presents the results of extensive research on the effectiveness of this algorithm for solving a number of test multi-extreme and ravine optimization problems. Recommendations about optimization of a choice of free parameters of algorithm have been made on the basis of results of research. This paper also discusses a problem of approximate construction of the Pareto set for multi-objective optimization.The effectiveness of combination algorithms CIAC and MOPSO is investigated to solve this problem.
Developing the New Construction of the Planetary Roller Screws with Flexible Nut

The article is dedicated to the development of  the new construction for the planetary roller screws with flexible nut. The deformation of nut gives the possibility to compensate the gaps between the details’ thread. The newly-presented feature of the construction is the installation of two collets between nut and the assembly frame. Each collet transforms axial force into redial force to press the nut.
The choice of ways to reduce the dynamic loads in the manual transmission of the hybrid electric vehicle when starting ICE on the move

This paper proposed a method for determining dynamic loads in the transmission of the parallel hybrid electric vehicle when starting ICE while vehicle is running in the motor mode. The results of calculations and ways to reduce dynamic loads in the branches of the transmission of automobile UAZ-3153 are presented.

The paper is dedicated to an approximation of a set of attainability for type “trunk” multisectional robot-manipulator. SPSO method was developed and used for the task resolution. SPSO is based on well-known MOPSO method that is used for multi-objective optimization task. SPSO method as well as MOPSO method implements one of the version of particle swarm optimization method (PSO) that is often used for global optimization tasks. Sigma-algorithm is used for finding non-dominated solutions. SPSO effectiveness is demonstrated for several tasks of a set of attainability search for both with and without obstacles.
Temperature calibration of a strapdown inertial navigation system based on MEMS sensors

The inertial sensor signals caused by the temperature changing are very difficult to determinate. To observe the errors, this paper presents an error model of MEMS sensors. The error model consists of the arrays of the coefficients defined for each navigation system sensor. Processing sensor signals, I show how to calculate the parameters of the error model during the temperature changing. The method uses the least square method adapted by an increment of the temperature. This adaptation provides the calculation of the coefficients without influencing of the sensor temperature not changing during the calibration. Navigation system CompaNav2 based on ADXRS300 and ADXL210 Analog Devices sensors was calibrated using the method. The calibration results demonstrate that the method provides a practical and accurate technique for calibrating a strapdown inertial navigation systems based on MEMS sensors

Meta-optimization method of search optimization algorithms

The problem of parametrical optimization of search optimization algorithms (meta-optimisation problem) is considered. The meta-optimization method which basic feature consists in search of optimum strategy of algorithm in the course of normal operation of the program realizing it is offered. The method uses sets clusterization of the considered class problems by means of Kohonen network and the decision actually problems of meta-optimisation by means of continuous genetic algorithm.

Process of designing of the multi-purpose technological car is presented as a part of life cycle of the car. The formalized representation of the project includes in quality a component the design assignment and conditions of realization of the project. The technological scheme of realization of the project provides sequence of design operations and procedures. In designing methodology concepts of the general and private problem are used, the place of methods and techniques in system designing is shown. Degree of participation of the developer increases at the decision of problem problems. Dialogue procedures provide adaptation of developers to the used technological scheme of designing and features of a design problem.

The article is devoted to research trials multiaxis wheeled machine with an onboard method of rotation. Shows the object of study, describes the main specifications. The methodology of experimental studies of the layout and navigation methods for determining the parameters under study. Tests were conducted at various road-soil conditions. The results of research trials, showing the dependence of resistance force depending on the turning radius when driving on snow machines. In modern on-board radars equipped with phased antenna array (PAA) the automatic tracking mode of several targets is designed upon the principle of discrete autotracking system. In this case there is a task to optimize the period of each target contact upon the number of targets / autotracking accuracy criterion. In the case of traditional approach the summary error of target coordinate estimation is treated as a random value comprising two components – dynamic component, connected with errors of prediction of a target motion and the fluctuation component, conditioned by measurement errors. Hence it follows the necessity to select the period of discrete multitarget tracking.

Tasks of optimizing form and sections dimensions of multisectional «trunk» robot-manipulator are considered. Approach based on manipulator representation by a cantilever bar and three following criteria of optimality is used for solving the first task: criterion of uniform flexural resistance using beam of uniform strength theory; criterion of uniform specific power rating; criterion of uniform energy density. Criteria listed above are used for optimization of manipulator form under different types of load: static load, exerted by external forces and torques; static load exerted by beam’s weight; dynamic load caused by accelerated motion of beam’s components; dynamic load caused by head resistance of environment through which the beam is moving. Manipulator is also represented by a cantilever bar for solving the second task. Approach based on criterion of uniform section stiffness is used.
