77-30569/222015 Non-interferometric method for optical testing of large convex aspherical mirrors
Engineering Education # 10, October 2011 The main problem with manufacturing of large convex mirrors is in their optical testing that requires high-precision optical components with diameters exceeding the testing mirror. To avoid this problem there is a side illumination scheme, in which a narrow collimated beam propagates normal to the axis of the testing mirror. Wavefront reflected from the mirror contains information about its shape. Non-interferometric wavefront sensor is developed for analysis of the reflected beam. The method of definition of testing mirror profile is described.
